Welcome, Hospice Care Applicant in the Bay Area
Grace and Glory Hospice team more than just a job
We are delighted that you are considering joining our Grace and Glory Hospice team. Working in hospice is more than just a job—it is a heartfelt vocation. We believe that every member of our staff, from nurses to administrative team members, plays a critical role in upholding the values of compassion, dignity, and personalized care for those nearing the end of life.

A Calling to Serve
In our experience, individuals who thrive here share a common thread: the desire to make a meaningful difference in someone’s final stage of life. This work requires emotional resilience, empathy, and a genuine willingness to serve. If you are drawn to caring for others, find fulfillment in offering kindness and support, and believe that each person’s life story deserves reverence, you may be exactly who we are looking for.
Physical Ability & Reliable Transportation
Because we provide in-home hospice services throughout California, our team members often travel to patients’ homes. This means reliable transportation is essential for most positions, especially for nurses, social workers, and other care staff. Additionally, a certain degree of physical ability and strength is required. We frequently assist patients in repositioning, bathing, or other tasks that call for safe handling procedures.
Compassionate Care and Team Values
We operate on a team-based model, uniting professionals from diverse fields—medical, social work, spiritual care, and administration—to provide holistic support. Joining our family at Grace and Glory Hospice means embracing values like:
- Empathy: We strive to put ourselves in our patients’ shoes, practicing understanding and patience.
- Respect: Each patient’s preferences and beliefs guide our care planning. We listen attentively and honor their wishes as much as possible.
- Collaboration: We encourage open communication and mutual support among team members, patients, and families.
- Growth: We aim to continually learn and adapt so that we can stay at the forefront of best practices in hospice care.

Professional Growth and Training
We believe in investing in our team’s professional development. Whether you are new to hospice care or an experienced professional, our training programs and ongoing educational opportunities will help you refine your skills and strengthen your confidence. Our goal is for you to feel supported, from your first day on the job to your hundredth visit with a patient.
Areas of Learning
- Symptom Management: We place a high emphasis on effective pain control and palliative treatments.
- Communication Strategies: Clear and compassionate dialogue is vital—whether speaking with patients, families, or fellow team members.
- End-of-Life Protocols: From legal documentation to ethical considerations, we cover the many practical dimensions of hospice care.
- Holistic Support: We encourage a well-rounded approach that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Stories That Inspire
We often receive heartwarming messages and testimonials from families who have experienced our care. From nurses who held a patient’s hand in their final moments to social workers who guided families through challenging emotional landscapes, each story illustrates the life-changing nature of this work. By joining us, you become a part of those stories. You have the chance to be a comforting presence, a steady hand, and a bearer of hope during life’s most delicate times.
